Saving Life With Music: How Twenty One Pilots Fans Built a Lifeline

When Blake Fine won radio tickets to see Twenty One Pilots in 2015, she discovered more than just a new favorite band—she found a reason to keep going. After lead singer Tyler Joseph told her to "stay alive, it's worth it," those five words became her anchor through dark times.

The fandom became a lifeline. Fans created group chats, connected across the country, and most critically—kept each other alive. For Fine, "stay alive until your next Twenty One Pilots show" became a literal survival strategy. Ten years and 38 shows later, she now attends as a "victory lap." Twenty One Pilots openly addresses mental health in their music, and their community built support systems around that shared struggle. The fandom proves that loving your band can mean showing up for each other when it matters most.

If you or someone you know is struggling, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7. 🎵💛

Musicians On Call Brings The Opry To Hospitalized Veterans

Musicians On Call teamed with the Grand Ole Opry for their second annual Concert For Veterans, bringing live music from the Opry stage directly to Veterans' bedsides. The virtual concert featured performances from Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Craig Morgan, John Fogerty, Mickey Guyton, and more, reaching thousands of hospitalized Veterans nationwide. At the Murfreesboro VA Community Living Center, Veterans enjoyed a special live performance complete with the iconic Opry microphone stand, followed by intimate bedside visits from volunteer musicians. The concert remains available for Veterans to watch throughout November.

"The patients, caregivers and military families we meet in VA facilities have given so much in service to others," says Musicians On Call President Pete Griffin. "Music allows us to give something meaningful back—a moment of connection, comfort, and gratitude."

Once again, the music community proves that showing up for those who served means more than applause—it means bringing healing directly to those who need it most. 🎸🇺🇸
