“Never Enough”: Turnstile’s Crossover Crossfire

Turnstile’s fourth album, Never Enough, places the Baltimore hardcore outfit at a crossroads—straddling their gritty origins and a glossy pop-upscale future. Tracked with Rick Rubin in L.A.’s Mansion, produced alongside Charli XCX co-signs and Coachella hype, the record melds breakdowns with synths and disco drums with punk screams. Guest spots from Hayley Williams and Dev Hynes deepen the sonic palette—but leave hardcore purists crying “sell-out.” đŸŽ€đŸĄđŸŽ§

Critics are split: fans hear reheated Glow On, while others applaud its arena-ready ambition. Songs like “I Care” pulse with Floydian hooks; “Dull” balances breakdowns against A.G. Cook’s crystalline synths; and the nearly seven-minute “Look Out for Me” attempts a genre-spanning epic. But despite flashes of brilliance, Never Enough often feels tautologically trapped—too polished for the pit, too pit-heavy for pop. 🎾💔🌈

With bigger stages ahead, the real question looms: is this a breakthrough or a breakdown? đŸ€·â€â™‚ïžđŸšȘđŸ”„

Dolly Parton & Mötley CrĂŒe Drop $250K for Covenant House with “Home Sweet Home” Remix

What happens when country royalty and glam metal gods collide? Pure charity gold. In an unexpected but oddly perfect pairing, Dolly Parton has joined forces with Mötley CrĂŒe for a reimagined version of their 1985 power ballad “Home Sweet Home.” This new take doesn’t just hit the nostalgia nerve—it hits the heartstrings, too, with proceeds benefiting Covenant House, a nonprofit providing shelter and support for youth facing homelessness. Parton called the studio collab “an honor and a joy,” while the CrĂŒe called it a “career high”—a big statement from a band that’s survived spandex, stadiums, and several cycles of scandal. The track will appear on From the Beginning, their upcoming singles collection dropping September 12, which also kicks off their new Las Vegas residency. 🎾💖

The Covenant House connection doesn’t stop there: through Fandiem, fans can enter to win a trip to meet Tom Morello backstage in Toronto—including VIP tickets, a signed ‘Soul Power’ Stratocaster, dinner, hotel, and more. Proceeds from that sweepstakes also go to Covenant House, making this a banner season for music with heart. From glam rock to guitar gods, artists are showing that loud can also mean generous. đŸŽ€đŸŒ
