Legends OutKast, Soundgarden & Cyndi Lauper Finally Join the Rock Hall

The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class is here — and it’s a genre-spanning power move. Southern rap icons OutKast, grunge pioneers Soundgarden, and pop trailblazer Cyndi Lauper top the list of new inductees, joined by classic rock stalwarts Bad Company, twist king Chubby Checker, late legend Joe Cocker, and garage-rock disruptors The White Stripes.

Also in: Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon, honored for their influence, while Carol Kaye, Thom Bell, and Nicky Hopkins receive the Musical Excellence Award. Behind the scenes, longtime Warner Bros. exec Lenny Waronker is recognized with the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

This year’s class reflects a welcome shift toward broader definitions of ā€œrockā€ā€”from ATL innovation to feminist pop anthems to overlooked studio icons. The official induction ceremony hits Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater on Nov. 8, streaming live on Disney+ and airing later on ABC.

Mark your calendars. Legends will be made — and long overdue flowers will finally be handed out. šŸŒŗšŸŽø

Carrie Underwood Donates $236K and Reunites with Make-A-Wish Recipient

Carrie Underwood wrapped her Reflections Las Vegas residency in unforgettable fashion — reuniting with Noel Miller, a former Make-A-Wish recipient she first met 17 years ago. Miller, who was granted her wish to meet Underwood as a child with a heart condition, joined the country star onstage at Resorts World Theatre to sing ā€œAll-American Girlā€ on the final night of the run.

It wasn’t just a reunion — it was a moment made possible by fans. Underwood donated $1 from every ticket sold to Make-A-Wish, presenting a check for $236,844 to the organization during the show. The partnership reflects nearly two decades of Underwood’s quiet but consistent support of the foundation and its mission.

Also present was Melissa Arias, Chief Chapter Advancement Officer for Make-A-Wish, who accepted the donation alongside Miller. The performance — part celebration, part love letter to the power of music and generosity — capped a three-year residency that began in 2021.

Underwood now heads back to American Idol, this time as a judge — but her final Vegas moment reminded us she’s always been a WishMaker first. šŸ’«
